Holistic, trauma-informed & neuro-affirming psychology
Hey, I’m Kristy!
Director, Clinical Psychologist & Researcher
MPsych(Clin), GradDipPsySc, GDipPsych, BA(Psych)
I work from a neuro-affirming, holistic, and trauma-informed framework. For you as a client, this means I don’t see distress as something that’s “wrong” with you- I’m interested in the context, systems, experiences, and nervous system responses that have shaped how you cope and survive. I recognise the impact of trauma, chronic stress, and neurodivergence, and I aim to create a space that is collaborative, validating, and genuinely safe.
I have lived experience of late-identified neurodivergence (I’m AuDHD), which deeply informs my work. I’m particularly passionate about working with ADHD & Autism in women, LGBTQIA+ identity, complex trauma from sexual abuse, self-esteem, anxiety, and helping people unlearn shame while building lives that actually fit who they are.
Alongside my clinical work, I’m currently completing a PhD at Bond University, researching clinical aftercare for adults diagnosed with Autism, to improve and standardise neuro-affirming support for late-diagnosed adults.
Our Approach
My work is grounded in evidence-based therapies, delivered in a way that is practical, compassionate, and responsive to each individual:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT focuses on helping you build psychological flexibility. Learning how to relate differently to thoughts and emotions, clarify what truly matters to you, and take meaningful action even when things feel hard.Trauma-Focused Clinical EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique/ “tapping”)
EFT is a body-based approach that supports nervous system regulation and trauma processing. I use EFT in a trauma-informed, structured way to help reduce emotional intensity and support safer engagement with difficult experiences.Somatic psychology and regulation tools
Trauma and stress live in the body, not just the mind. Somatic approaches help us work with physiological responses, build capacity for regulation, and support a greater sense of safety and embodiment.Psychoeducation
Understanding what’s happening in your brain and nervous system can be deeply empowering. I prioritise clear, accessible explanations so you can make sense of your experiences without pathologising yourself.
Rather than following a one-size-fits-all model, I integrate these approaches in a way that fits you, your goals, your nervous system, your identity, and your life context.

Working Together
You can work with me through individual therapy or psychological assessments, or explore my growing range of online psychoeducation resources and digital tools, designed to make mental health support more accessible and practical in everyday life.
If you’re feeling curious, stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for support that feels affirming and collaborative, you’re invited to take the next step- whether that’s booking a session, enquiring about an assessment, or exploring resources that meet you where you are.
You don’t have to do this alone & and you don’t have to be “fixed” to be supported.
