What is Kinaire?

Inspired by the Gaelic roots of our name—“Kin” meaning alike and “Aire” meaning mind—our mission is to create a space where like-minded individuals can come together, grow, and thrive.

Kinaire Psychology is all about fostering a sense of belonging and self-empowerment, whether through digital tools, educational resources or individualised therapy.

As Shawn Wells beautifully said, “If we build a tribe of like-minded people, we never have to be alone again.” This philosophy is at the heart of everything we do.

Hey, I’m Kristy!

MPsych(Clin), GradDipPsySc, GDipPsych, BA(Psych)

Kristy Gallirhir is the founder and principal Clinical Psychologist at Kinaire Psychology. She is also a PhD Candidate, researcher, advocate and speaker.

Kristy believes in a trauma-informed, neurodiverse-affirming practice to support individuals through their mental health journey, including comprehensive assessment and client-centred therapy. Kristy uses therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Clinical Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or “tapping”) and somatic regulation tools.

Kristy’s specific interests include later-life neurodivergence (Autism, ADHD, Neurological conditions), sexual health education, the LGBTQIA+ community, neuropsychological assessment, PTSD and complex trauma from sexual abuse.

Kristy has lived experience of later-life neurodivergence and is passionate about the exploration of neurodiversity identity, self-advocacy, autonomy and affirming practice of cultural safety.
